White House pushing secret deal to stay in Iraq

Despite public pronouncements last month that Iraqi and U.S. negotiators had reached an agreement on a withdrawal timetable, The Independent reports “a secret deal” is being not discussed in Baghdad that “would perpetuate the American military occupation of Iraq indefinitely.”
