Surprise: Paul prevails

I read with interest Gregg Herrington’s April 25 opinion column, “What’s this? Ron Paul tops McCain?” regarding activists who care enough about the democratic process to spend an entire Saturday indoors. That certainly is quite a sacrifice, and it’s funny to now hear sour grapes from supporters of the supposedly more mainstream candidates, who apparently didn’t think showing up was worth the trouble.

As to the “extremist” views of Ron Paul: This man is in favor of a balanced budget, a strong dollar, and the careful observance of constitutional limits on governmental authority — he must be a nut job.
