Paul Wins Student Straw Poll

TAMPA -- Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Ron Paul are the presidential preference winners in a straw poll held at the University of South Florida Tampa campus. And jobs is the number one issue worrying the young voters.

Almost 1800 USF students voted in the poll sponsored by the National Political Science Honor Society, the Honors College and student government.

USF Political Science Professor Susan MacManus says the candidate results follow the trends of young voters nationally as do the issues driving their votes.
